Origine de cet ouvrage, un colloque de Cerisy s'est interrogé sur les modifications que ces essais introduisent dans le champ littéraire. Lorsqu'il est requis pour écrire, l'ordinateur n'intervient pas en outil neutre, simple pourvoyeur de facilités techniques.
